Matt's box from Germany has arrived!
And it was full of yarn! Beautiful German sock yarn, all for me me me! (Yes I know that Lana Grossa Yarn comes from Italy, but Matt bought this yarn in Germany, therefore it is German. I tend to prefer all things Italian, so I don't mind. My husband went to multiple yarn stores for me while vacationing in Europe. I'm not gonna complain about which country the yarn was made in. Would you?)
I plan to use the red and yellow (see below) with some black that I already have to make Matt a pair of German Flag socks, to commemorate this trip for him.
My husband is the best. I totally forgive him for staying out all night on Saturday.
He said he bought this one (above) because the label says "mega boots stretch," which he thought was just about the funniest phrase he'd heard in a while.
I love all the self-patterning and self-striping varieties, I could collect self-patterning sock yarn for the rest of my life and never get bored with it. And it is all such soft superwash goodness! I'm probably going to cast on a pair of socks tonight after derby practice, even though I should be working on the costumes for the Floyd Awards instead, but I can't wait! So what should I do with all of this yarn? Socks, gloves, wrist warmers, baby socks, tail warmers for the cats? The possibilities are endless!
